Tips for choosing the right meeting booth
As a manufacturer-independent provider, we offer a wide range of different meeting boxes - so it can be difficult to choose. If you are looking for a suitable meeting box for your company, the following steps will help you to select a model and compare different providers:
Meeting booths: what size should they be?
Meeting boxes are somewhat narrower than normal meeting rooms. You can estimate the required depth of the meeting box or the approximate width of the sofas using the following rule of thumb:
- 2 persons: Depth ~ 1.00 m
- 4 persons: Depth ~ 1.25 m to 1.50 m
- 6 persons: Depth ~ 1.80 m to 2.00 m
Converted, this means a seat width of between 60 cm and 75 cm per person when fully occupied, whereby young companies in particular tend to favour the somewhat more compact and less expensive meeting boxes.
Meeting booths: quality levels and sound insulation classes
Since 2020, ISO 23351-1 has categorised meeting boxes and soundproof booths in general into sound insulation classes. It only makes sense to compare different decibel values for sound insulation if they have been determined using the ISO standardised method:
- Class A+: over 33 decibels (no products on the market to date)
- Class A: 30 - 33 decibels (premium insulation)
- Class B: 25 - 30 decibels (standard insulation)
- Class C: 20-25 decibels (simple insulation)
Caution is advised when comparatively inexpensive providers advertise values above 35 or even 40 dB. By way of comparison, the majority of meeting boxes on the market - including our range - have sound insulation values of class A or class B and therefore less than 33 dB. Even the relatively well-known Finnish premium manufacturer "framery" "only" advertises its meeting boxes as class A.
We will be happy to explain which products from our range can be categorised in which sound insulation class.
Design
Once you are clear about the "hard facts" such as the required size and desired sound insulation, you can turn your attention to the softer factors: Appearance, colour, shape, nice gimmicks - different manufacturers score points here with different ideas, features and designs.

Meeting booths - the space-saving solution for open-plan offices
Meeting booths have become indispensable elements in many (open-plan) offices. With the increasing importance of communication and virtual collaboration in the business world, these specially developed boxes are the ideal solution for creating a quiet and productive working environment.
In everyday working life, meeting booths often take on the functions of a meeting room - just on a much smaller footprint. They are equipped with high-quality acoustic materials that absorb sound and ensure privacy. Thanks to their compact size, they can be integrated into almost any room, whether in open-plan offices, co-working spaces or home offices.
Meeting booths are often offered with various equipment options such as whiteboards, screens and conference technology - enabling effective and interactive meetings. They also offer the opportunity to hold confidential discussions or focus on important projects without disturbing other colleagues.
